This yarn comes from the Lake Ranco region in the south of Chile. The region has a variety of outstanding natural resources including lakes, islands, rivers, streams, hot springs, volcanoes, beautiful valleys, rivers with excellent trout fishing, snow capped mountains and virgin forests.

The multi colors are self striping and there will also be a bit striping seen in the solids as well since these are all hand died yarn and you can see by looking at the swatches that there are variations. The yarn can be used either for socks or garments and is wonderful combined with a specialty yarn. This yarn is suitable for knitting lace

The yarn is hand painted, inspired by ancient Chilean crafts from natural resources. Each hank is slightly different and should make two socks.
